AMRISH SELVAM - 2022 ARVO HOT TOPIC AWARD RECIPIENT

Amrish Selvam, third year medical student at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine working in the CAR Lab, received the Hot Topic Award for his poster, Pigment Epithelial Detachment Vascularity Index (PEDVI) in Neovascular Age-Related Macular Degeneration: An Image Processing Approach.


In this presentation, Mr. Selvam introduces a novel biomarker, pigment epithelial detachment vascularity index (PEDVI), for characterizing pigment epithelial detachments and to help quantify treatment responses and disease progression in patients with neovascular age-related macular degeneration.

LONGITUDINAL FOLLOW-UP AND OUTCOME ANALYSIS STUDY IN CSCR PUBLISHED IN EYE

To analyse the longitudinal changes in visual acuity and risk factors for recurrence or development of choroidal neovascularisation (CNV) in eyes with acute or chronic central serous chorioretinopathy (CSCR).
